I am a documentary photographer covering conflict and societal intricacies. With a foundation rooted in experience as an Army veteran, I use my lens as an instrument to shed light on the world's pressing issues. Following my military service, I started a small business supporting foreign security assistance programs under the aegis of the US Government.
My photography is aimed towards those who seek to understand the effects of conflict on both combatants and non-combatants, who realize that decisions of governments directly influence these effects, and who believe in the role that photojournalists play in our system of international conflict and conflict resolution.
Since 1996, my love of exploration and discovery has allowed me to capture the essence of my work and travels through the art of photography. I describe myself as an intrepid adventurer, weaving visual narratives with the threads of diverse cultures and landscapes. My conviction in the power of the camera is unwavering—it achieves its true potency when employed to encapsulate life in its unfiltered authenticity, and serves as a catalyst for change.
